Work has begun on the clean up of the land. A big thank you to J.Park hire and A-Plant for your help which enabled us to undertake this part of the project. Thanks to Biffa for their help with removal of all the rubbish on site also a big thank you to those of you who helped us clear the land. Our volunteers are very much appreciated and valued so a big thank you.

Well, after a conversation with Phil at Maidstone Borough council it came about that the possibilities of their being a community project in Shepway where actually within reach. In January 2017, after numerous meetings with MBC, Golding Homes, The Mayor of Maidstone our local Councillors, Cllr Eddie Powell and Cllr John Barned plus many more; Shepway Chariots received the keys to the area of land that was once Hampshire Drive Allotments in Shepway.
The area was extremely overgrown, unloved and semi-derelict the area had become a hot spot for fly tipping and anti-social behaviour. Our journey had just begun
